The Royal Exchange

After opening in 2008 the ?Exchange? was taken on in June 2009 by Cherryl Poppit who turned it into the thriving community local it is today. With a great range of 5 or 6 of our beers complemented by an ever changing range of guest ales and a great locally sourced range of light lunchtime meals it is a delight to visit. In September 2011 we received the worst possible news, Cherryl had developed inoperable cancer and after a very short illness passed away on 21st Oct. The team that Cherryl had put together kept the pub running smoothly right through to the new year, whilst raising money for Douglas Macmillan Hospice who looked after Cherryl so well during her last days. We are pleased to announce that we now have Michelle Hughes in place as the new landlady. Michelle?s background is as a chef so watch out for some new items on the menu. Currently she is getting used to Stone and hopefully Stone is welcoming a new friend. The Royal Exchange are the match ball sponsors for the Mens and Womens team at Aston Cricket Club.
