Seven days of special cheer are being hosted by Titanic Brewery’s four Staffordshire pubs in a bid to get more people to try real ale.

Burslem based Titanic is celebrating National Cask Ale Week from 6 – 13 April.

Events range from a “FemAle Day” aimed at encouraging more women to sample real ale to a link-up with pubs across the country in an attempt to create the “World’s Largest Toast.”

Brewery Director Dave Bott said: “Staff at Titanic Brewery are very passionate about real ale but we realise that to many it is the drinks industry’s best kept secret.

“The image of a real ale drinker can be viewed as old fashioned and it is difficult to compete with the mass marketing of the global lager brands.

“National Cask Ale Week provides an opportunity to get people to sample our natural, locally produced, products in one of our four comfortable community style pubs.”

Titanic Brewery has bucked the national trend of pub closures to open three pubs since 2007, each serving a wide range of Titanic’s award winning beer.

The Greyhound, at Newcastle, The White Star, Stoke, and the Royal Exchange, Stone, have joined the long established Bulls Head, Burslem, in the Titanic fleet.
