Dave and Keith Bott joined together to take over Titanic Brewery in 1988 when the original owner ran into difficulties. Keith was already working at Titanic Brewery at the time whilst Dave was running an Outdoor Leisure business. Backed financially by their Father they set about developing the brand. They bought their first pub in 1992, the Bulls Head in Burslem, from Grand Metropolitan. Closed and devoid of custom they brought their mix of great beer and a warm welcome to the town. Now one of the most successful pubs in Burslem it is a great place to try the range of Titanic beers and guest beers from other like minded breweries.
In 2006 Dave sold his business and they now run the brewery between them, Dave's retail experience will be a real asset to the company and will help steady the ship as Keith continues to lead the local beer revolution from the front as President of the Society of Independent Brewers. Keith stepped down as SIBA Chairman after a 4 year tenure and became President of the society at the Annual Conference in February 2007.
