Titanic Brewery Is In The Pink For Summer Season

Supermarket shoppers will have a surprise in store when they see the latest beer from the Titanic Brewery.

For the Stoke-on-Trent brewery has created a pink tinged beer – called Summer Fruits - for sale in the Morrisons chain of superstores. Morrisons has signed an exclusive deal with Titanic to sell a new range of seasonal beers under the superstore group’s own label. Raspberries, blackberries and strawberries are added to traditional British malt and hops to create Summer Fruits, the first of the new range.

Dave Bott, joint owner of the Burslem based brewery, said: “Most people have heard of pink champagne but our pink beer is an ideal accompaniment to a summer barbecue. “The superstore chain has launched a range of seasonal products and Summer Fruits is among the first to appear on the shelves.”

Morrisons has brought 12,000 cases of the new beer. It will be followed in the autumn by another new Titanic ale, Green Hops, which will be brewed using the first hops of the season. “The hops have to go from the field into the beer within 24 hours which is quite a challenge,” added Dave. “The beer is an apple green colour.” Summer Fruits is a light tasting beer with fruity aromas and an ABV of 4.5 per cent.
