Meet the latest recipients of Titanic Brewery Foundation grants

This week, The Titanic Brewery Foundation is excited to share the details of ten local organisations that will be receiving grants of between £500 and £1500 to help them support and enhance the lives of their local communities.

These recipients, all located within ten miles of a Titanic Brewery pub or bod café bar, will be using the grants to help fund the following projects:

Abbots Bromley Scouts (£745) – A local Scout Group based in Abbots Bromley. Their grant will be used to fund the long-overdue repainting of the external wooden structure of their scout hut.

Audley Community Library (£500) – A volunteer-run free to access community library serving Audley and the surrounding rural villages. A programme of cultural enrichment events and workshops for people of all ages will be funded with their grant.

Chesterton Angling Club (£1,000) – A community angling group that creates safe spaces for people of all ages to meet and enjoy angling. They have been awarded a grant to install security fencing to protect their space and prevent anti-social behaviour.

InterTheatre Stoke (£1,000) – A theatre and community choir that supports adults with disabilities. Their grant will be used to fund new equipment for their annual theatre production, including microphones and theatre lighting.

Medanaid (£1,500) – A community association based in Stoke-on-Trent committed to helping others through the promotion of good health and wellbeing. They have been awarded a grant to help fund the installation of a new community defibrillator, and provide training to local residents.

Middleport Matters (£1,000) – A community trust working to empower residents by eradicating social isolation & digital exclusion, and by supporting those facing hardships. They have been awarded a grant to fund women’s social support sessions for six months.

Newcastle-under-Lyme Community Orchestra (£1,000) – A community orchestra created to bring music to the local community and provide a safe, welcoming space for all people to come together and make music. A grant has been awarded to fund the purchase of new instruments that can be used by local residents who are unable to supply their own.

Projects from Pallets (£500 & materials) – An art, education, heritage & recycling venture, offering craft and woodworking activities to local youth and community groups. They have been awarded a grant and materials (donated by Titanic Brewery to deliver a number of upcycling workshops in the local community.

Redgate Clayton FC (£1,500) – A community football club providing an opportunity for people of all ages to play football in a community setting. Their grant has been awarded to fund the creation of an external patio to enhance the community centre and create a wheelchair-accessible outdoor space.

Stafford District Scouts (£800) – Operators of the Sherratts Wood Scout Campsite, offering camping and outdoor activities for Scouts and other youth groups. A grant has been awarded to upgrade the onsite catering facilities and purchase new equipment including a tea urn and microwave.
