Built in 1626, The Roebuck Pub in Leek is steeped in character and charm. 13 cask ale pumps occupy the bar which rumour has it, is the most in the Moorlands.
Food is served daily including breakfast from 11am and is home to the Totally Locally Leek Burger, a dish that is created from local ingredients only, all sourced within a 100 yard radius! Our Burger even made it onto BBC news in 2019!
The fires are a haven from the cold and are perfect to cosy up to with a pint. There is regular live music and festivals held in the Hop Yard, with its own shed come bar stacked full of craft beers. The Roebuck is a dog-friendly pub which means that our four legged friends are very welcome.
As recent winners of the Taste of Staffordshire 2018 Pub of the Year Award, you can expect a warm welcome and home-cooked meals at The Roebuck.
The Roebuck is at the heart of the community
During lockdown Nick (pub manager) and Jon Nixon (Head Chef) & Anita Shaw (Second Chef) cooked over 1000 meals for the homeless and those in need around the leek area as well as Stoke-on-Trent. Because lockdown was boring we also painted 80% of the pub. All of this was done on a volunteer basis. Manager Nick recently got engaged to his partner Amy, they enjoy traveling especially around Italy and walking with friends which normally ends at a pub for food and beer.
We host a weekly quiz night on Thursday – currently on hold at the moment due to covid restrictions.
We have a very hard working team who all add their character to the pub in their own way.
Our staff and regular customers are almost like old friends.

Food and titanic ales beyond reproach. Both price and quality of products and services were amazing. Considering a weekend break purely on the service we received. Fruit wines to die for (according to the other half)

I had a Houllumi Burger with a side salad.Really lovely. The chips were excellent too and were "home made" Brilliant choice for Veggies and Vegans Probably the best choice in Staffordshire A little wait but this is because everything is cooked to order and not cooked ahead and reheated

The Roebuck is an authentic traditional market town inn. The service is professional, the quality of the food is good, particularly the fish we had, and there is a wide range of draught beers
